Teresa Shepherd appointed new treasurer of Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Greater Cincinnati

Teresa Shepherd, a certified public account and Cincinnati native is the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Greater Cincinnati’s newest board member. In November, she was appointed to an unexpired board term and subsequently elected Treasurer of the group, replacing outgoing treasurer Bobby Miller. Her alma mater is the University of Cincinnati where she majored in Accounting and minored in Business Management. She obtained her CPA license in the State of Ohio at her first sitting in November 1996. She is now also reciprocally licensed in the State of Kentucky. Teresa has a private practice specializing in individual and business taxes. Additional areas of expertise include small business advisory services, accounting systems installations as well as full service accounting functions. Teresa joined The Center as a volunteer some six months ago. She is also a board member for the nonprofit organization: Media Bridges. Teresa’s other interests include photography, hiking, graphic design, nature conservancy and history. The Center is located at 4119 Hamilton Ave in the Northside area of Cincinnati and serves as a resource for the tri-state area. Notably, Pride Alive (the June Pride celebration) and Pride Night (Kings Island event) draw some of the areas largest crowds are projects of The Center. |
