Pink Paradigm to Distribute Leaflets at Olympic Fundraiser
May 21, 1999

The new group for gay and lesbian visibility, Pink Paradigm, will be distributing educational handouts to support the City's Olympic bid during the Cincinnati 2012 Inc. fundraising event at Sawyer Point on Saturday, May 22 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

Pink Paradigm wants the public to know that the city's bid may be in danger due to its 1993 passage of Issue 3. "We believe that this is a disqualifying bias. We want to save the Olympics and give the city its best shot," says Pink Paradigm member Michael Blankenship. Pink Paradigm expects Cincinnati 2012 Inc. organizers, led by Nick Vehr, to speak out against discrimination and stand up for fairness in our City. "They need to work for fairness, its more than fun and games," Blankenship concluded.
