from Pink Paradigm 5/20/00 Pink Paradigm will present an exposition of Drag Queen Mud Wrestling June 11th at Jacobs', on Hamilton Avenue in the Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati, as part of Gay Pride 2000 celebrations. The spectacle, to be staged on the Jacobs' patio following the Pride Parade, is a fundraiser for Pink Paradigm's Billboard Campaign. Tickets are $5. The billboard campaign will consist of several different designs over as many months, depending on the money Pink Paradigm raises. The group needs to raise at least another $3000 to launch the first of it's billboards in an educational campaign to increase awareness of gay and lesbian issues in Greater Cincinnati, and gay contributions to the broader community. "Ideally, we'd like to do sever or eight designs, over seven or eight months", says the group's Co Founder Michael Blankenship, "buts it's got to start with one." Currently, the group has $4,300 at hand, and three designs ready for final production. Pink Paradigm started one year ago as "a queer social network for cultural change", and became a charitable educational group in October. They have been working on the billboard designs over the past year, and are looking for a launch date sometime this summer. And they're encouraging other g/l/b/t groups to get into the act by supplying contestants for the event.
